If you don’t want to renew a policy, notify your broker promptly. Some people believe that if they have arranged insurance elsewhere they don’t need to notify the previous broker. This is not so! Your policy will be cancelled for non-payment of premium. It will cause a substantial “black mark” against your insurance record, and your future premiums may be higher as a result.
After you notify your broker you can move forward and supply the information that your new provider needs to insure you.
